Challenge:

n      As part of specific telecom regulatory requirements (271 compliance), a major global provider needed to provide specific proof to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) their complex networks and systems were open to the regional operating companies (RBOCs) in order to show proof that their systems were open to competitors.

n      In order to do so, they needed the services of a deeply competent yet objective 3rd party firm to conduct this elaborate validation and produce specific detailed validation. QA Consultants were engaged given their knowledge of the industry and thier testing team expertise to help client structure their tests, compile and analyze the data and report the results in the filings with the PUC and FCC.

Results:

n      The results of our findings satisfied the regulators and enabled our client to maintain the long distance business in a number of markets for several years, which represented billions of dollars in protected revenue for our client.
